New member here in need of some assitance. I have a 2007 H220 and for some reason, the speedometer just went out on me yesterday. It is not on a lift nor a trailer, so I have not been able to see what might be going on. I have searched and seen quite a few posts regarding this subject. Do the 2007's have a paddle wheel and if so, what does it look like? Any suggestions before having to take it back to the dealer? Thanks in advance for any help. |

06 has a pick-up tube. Look under the dash and pull the hose off the back of the speedo and blow through it, if you cant its glogged. If you can either the gauge is bad or you broke the pick-up off. |

Thanks. if i cannot blow through it, what is recommended to clear it? I was in some muddy water, but did not go through any water that was less than 5 feet deep. It did seem to go out on me after going through a muddy spot in the lake. Thanks again! |

If you cant clear it by blowing (after you wake up from passing out from blowing) unhook the tube from the pickup on the transom and see if you can blow from that end back to the speedo. If you cant try with a shot of compressed air. (make sure the tube is still unhooked at the speedo) If you can blow its in the pickup. Get a fine wire and clean the pickup out from the top. |

Hopefully it is fixed. I am going to go for a ride after work. I found the tube and blew through it- nothing. Afterr a few attempts of blowing through it and then attempting to suck the dirt out, I got a mouth full of water. I could then blow through it easily. Thanks again for the help. Now back to enjoying my boat as it was bought new and only used twice because of the drought down here. Your wisdom is much appreciated! |

This is my 7th boat and I have never experienced this before. Glad to hear I am not the only one because misery loves company. Now I need to see if the wife will take care of the baby and 4 year old so I can go make sure it works right;) |
