Should the Bilge Pump be pumping out all of the water in my bilge, because mine seems to start sucking air before all of the water is out, it looks like it is up about a 1/4 inch on the float switch. I don't know if I have ever really noticed this before in years past, and I just replaced the switch last year, and am wondering if the pump might be starting to go now.

Maybe the new switch stops the pump at a higher 'low water level' than the old switch. Odds are your pump is fine.
