Under my starboard rear seat are 2 2' stainless poles held in by clips. The poles look just like the one used to hold up the engine hatch if you don't use the electric lift. Any idea what these are for? I'm pretty good at puzzles but this one stumped me... :?:

Do they connect and serve as cover supports?

They are used to support your lounger seats when layed down. You will see a hole underneath where they go. The other end rests on the floor.

My 210 has those two. I assume they were a safety pole when you opened the engine hatch. Even though as heavy as that SOB is I don't know if I trust the pole with my legs hanging out.

The long pole is the safety pole for the engine hatch that goes on the port side.

The 2 short poles are used when you set up the loungers in the back and lay them flat, They won't work when you tilt the backs upright.

On my 2006 model the short poles support the lounge seats and the backs tilt separate from their frame. Meaning when you fold out the lounge seat and install the support bar, you can keep the bed flat or tilt up and not affect the support pole. That said I usually don't use the support poles.
