Post subject:  Help with engine type

I just bought a 1998 Horizon QX (16.5') with the volvo-penta 4.3. I cannot find the exact configuration. I know its a GL/SX, but all the parts websites have about 6 or 7 selections.
4.3GL

* 4.3GL MMDA
* 4.3GL PBYC
* 4.3GL PEFS
* 4.3GL PLKD
* 4.3GL PLKE
* 4.3GL PMDA
* 4.3GL PNCA
* 4.3GL PNCB
* 4.3GL PNCS
* 4.3GL PWTR

How do I know which one it is? Ive looked on the engine for the label, but cant seem to find it. Is there a way to find it using my serial #? Any help would be appreciated.

Try this link first:

http://www.volvopentastore.com/mall/template/store/volvopenta/help.html

Then this one:

http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/global/en-gb/marine_leisure_engines/engines/out_of_production_engines/out_of_production_engines.htm

This helps you decipher your hull I.D.#:

Good luck

I think if you have your engine serial number that the Volvo Penta site will tell you which one it is. I remember seeing a place to enter the serial number to determine the version.
