Does anyone have any insight on "Keel Guards? I recently bought an 06 220 Horizon and I am thinking about adding a Keel Guard. :?:

No personal experience. I've heard people say (who have them) that you should have someone who knows what they're doing install it, that it's not as easy to do correctly as it looks.

They work fine. I've had one for 3 seasons now and it does exactly what it's supposed to. I would suggest getting one that is a darker color if you don't mind the look of it. I have a white one that blended in perfectly when it was new.... now it's really yellowed.

Good info Jim, I was considering going with a white one for next season, perhaps instead I'll get silver to match the gellcoat accents on my boat.

from what I have read and people I have talked to have convinced me to have a Hamby's professionally installed, My local dealer just started installing them about a month ago and I can get one for about $425 installed but you can literally run your boat onto a concrete ramp and not hurt this thing. Check them out.
