I'm not sure if my float in my bildge pump is working. I am keeping the boat in the water for the first time and when I get to the boat, I can run the pump for a good 30 seconds and water flows out the whole time.
Also have water in the ski-locker.

Any suggestions on what to look for? THanks.

If you open the engine compartment how much water is in there? Down in the bilge. I don't think our bilge pump is automatic, we have to turn ours on. But our boat is older than yours also.?.?
The last time we had water like that in ours was when one of the rubber hoses that run from the outdrive to the transom (I can't think of the name of those hoses right now) popped off and I had to reattach it. Not a big deal, loosen a hose clamp, put the hose back on and re-tighten the clamp. No more leak.

simplest way to know for sure is manually get in there and lift the thing and see if it engages. If that works get a hose and put water and make sure the float floats and engages. Since your slipping you really want to make sure this is working
