I went to use my stern light Saturday night and the socket just fell apart below deck. What a piece of crap. Now I have to spend $35 for the SAME piece of crap plastic that broke the first time.

And the light at the top of my light pole is cracked too. (previous owners fault) Do they sell a replacement? NO... just a $60 dollar light pole. So I'm out $100 since they don't make em like they used too

So my question is do I have a 3 wire or 2 wire socket. I forgot to look before I put the boat in storage...

I just went and checked my socket. It's a two wire.

It's ok to rant, sometimes it helps get past the issues!!!

Thanks! I guess spending $100 is better than getting run over at night.

I feel your pain. My son broke the assy that the pole goes in 15 mins before sunset as we were anchored waiting for the fireworks. Luckily I was able to cobble together a fix and we were able to stay out.

I was amazed at how cheap the mount was too.
