Yessir. Ours are the only two 230's I know of that have the sport graphic without the classic color band (since it was not a listed option and the dealers were supposed to say no to it if requested). I like it a lot, although I must say the classic color band has grown on me over the past year.

I had a 1996 Horizon 200 w/ the 5.8 liter duoprop and LOVED that boat. 10 years later and it looked as good as new. Knowing that, I decided I couldn't go wrong with my next "long term" boat being another FW. Got the 260 last November and have loved every minute on her.

Here's a pic after a recent clean up . . .

I'm not sure cincy. It looks like your pics have the correct image tags. I tried to post one of my pics from shutterfly yesterday, and it didn't work either.
My photobucket and Picturetrail photos seem to work.

Maybe try useing the boards' photosite.

EDIT: I think I know. The image needs to have a .jpg at the end to work. The
snapfish and shutterfly images don't seem to have that. Just a thought.

The boat dry comes in at 4950. The entire set up wet is in the 7500 range as far as I can estimate. My expy has a 8650 tow rating and handles it well. Its a bit sluggish on some long grades but will keep it at 55 with not too much effort. On level roads it rides really well. No swaying or vague steering. I think it pulls this boat better than my old Sequoia pulled my previous 20 ft Horizon. But anymore weight than this and I'd probably have to go with a 3/4 ton.

And fortunately, my boy is only 8 so he better not be doing those burnouts in the parking lot just yet!

Jnizi, Does that ski pole telescop any higher or is that as high as it goes? None the less it must be a big improvement over the standard ski eye!

I see 230 Mike couldn't resist showing off his pretty boat. Looks great Mike! It would look much better on the water than in your drive. Ha!

Here is a picture of mine earlier this year on our trip to Marco Island, Fl.

...I have to remember how to do this so I can post some updated pix, but here's one from last year. I envy all of you with fresh-water trailers. Even well cared for, our galvanized trailer looks like crap after a year in and out of salt water when compared to those great paint jobs and chrome wheels!

JustBreathe,

If you look at the picture of my 220 above you will notice that the wheels are galvanized. That is the new galvanized trailer with "Gatorhyde" for 2006. Basically it is a galvanized trailer that they dip in Rhino Lining. That pic is from Mission Bay here in Sandy Eggo where I will be this Memorial Day weekend. Here's a picture in the water with my sales rep and a buddy of mine at the helm on Mission Bay delivery day.

That's very cool. I suppose it can still get dinged, but so can paint. Looks nice. Seems to give it an all around satiny-flat look. I spray the whole trailer down with wd-40 fairly frequently, so it's looking pretty good still, but it's amazing how many things on a "galvanized" trailer are not galvanized. So various nuts and bolts all over are very rusted, even with zealous attention last year after each "dunk.".

I gave up on galvanized several years back. Alunimum is the only way to go with dunks in saltwater. The new trailer is all aluminum (save the torsin axles and rims) with SS hardware, SS disk brakes on all 6 wheels, including SS calibers. The trailer manufacturer who sold me the trailer at dealer cost (felt pity on me becuse of the theft) bumped the tires up to 245/75R16 over the standard 225/75R15 tires. Man does that 13000# of boat and trailer pull nice!

The '03 170 Freedom I have has a painted trailer from FW. So far we have only used it in the lakes. I have contemplated about replacing it with an aluminum. It's just way down on the wish list. Getting the boat with only 48 hrs of use for $7700, the trailer being painted was a mute point .
