Two years ago I purchased a 1996 Four Winns Horizon 200 DLX with a Volvo 5.0FI/DP. What a great boat! It’s quick out of the hole, fast and responsive. Additionally, the sport seating with the extended rear lounge makes it fun and comfortable for family and friends while spending a day out on the lake. I have owned other runabouts in the past, but this is my favorite.

Yikes! I just realized that despite spending two seasons out on this boat, I have NO pictures to post. I’ll try to get that rectified soon.

Another happy Horizon owner here. I got mine used last fall, so I am still in my first year, but it is definitely a great baot. Plenty of power and bells and whistles too.

Looking forward to some good discussions on this forum.

Same for me! Bought a 2005 230 Horizon and love it. Added the Ski Pylon over the winter. Have had only 1 chance to get out this year. Too much rain and cold weather. Hope June will be better.

I just bought a 1995 240 Horizon 5.8L and in the process of cleaning it up. A lot of dirt and a lot of mold. I cannot wait to take her out. I was taken aback over how heavy the thing was pulled behind my Silverado. It's a beast! I guess this is why people are constantly upgrading to a new truck.

I have some questions about the boat that I hope to ask over the next few days. The first one is more of a comment than a question. I was surprised to find the head under the front bow cushion! It looks like FW didn't follow the other manufacturers and put it in one of the consoles. It's a funny picture to me of someone using the head in the bow like that so exposed. On pontoons at least they have a temporary enclosure that goes around the head. I'm not sure I'll use it as I just find it disgusting to have that on board especially since I will have to manually pull it out in order to drain it. Just hearing the sloshing around is enough to make me gag.

Same here guys... 2005 230 Horizon and I love the boat. Had it out three times this year but the water is still too cold to waterski. I too had the ski pylon installed. It was a compromise with my wakeboarder teenage son who wanted a tower. I hope you finally got that center cushion jnizi. Should be a great forum.

Let's see some pics of your boats. The 230 is one heck of a boat.

The center cushion was a few weeks behind the install of the pylon. I guess there was a run on new pylons. Just like yourself, we added it for our teenage wakeboarding son.

jnizi and out4fun, Do you have pics of your pylon installations? Do the kids think this a good compromise? I’m not a wakeboarder, but I too have, not one, but two, teenage daughters who are.

The water has been too cold to try it but the kids can't wait. We the bill paying adults figured this was a good solution to a tower. Our dealer did the install (I felt better letting him drill holes in the boat) and I did the cushion.

Nice looking install. I would think that will work fine.
