Hey guys, new FW owner here. 2003 FW Freedom 180 with the 4.3 Volvo/Penta.

Couple of questions.

Is there any difference in the Freedom and Horizon? I have searched and seen nothing and the floor plans look the same. Just wondering incase of repair/parts are they interchangeable?

The prop appears to be the original aluminum and is in need of reconditioning. I want to just replace it with a stainless one. Did anyone change the pitch for better performance? What do you recommend?

Seat post is too short. Do they make a taller replacement one or do I just need to find the same diameter and have it cut? Sat on my knees all day yesterday looking over the windshield (and do not like sitting on the towels (seat does not have that bolster).

Is there access to the bow seats from behind to add a few extra speakers? Bow riders said it was not that loud out there.
THanks

Welcome aboard!

I can certainly help you out a bit on the VP 4.3 questions... re the prop, don't repair the Al one - not worth the effort and cost, and they never come back anywhere as good as a new one. Almost the same cost to buy a new genuine VP one. I would recommend sticking to what the boat came with originally from FW - they would have done plenty of testing to make sure it was right!

I bought mine on sale from http://www.getaprop.com/ - they have genuine VP ones at the moment for $153.

Yep - the seat post - +1 on that! Luckily I have the bolsters.
