I noticed on some newer Four Winns that the round water drain holes on the hull (cooler) are stainless. Mine are white plastic. Can they be replaced or are they part of the entire drain? Is there a name for them to search for? Can you get the transom light housing in stainless instead of the cheap plastic? Mines fine, but I see some rust on the edge. |

You can replace the thru hulls with stainless if you wish. I would imagine Attwood or another aftermarket company has a stainless transom light that would replace what you have currently. |

Thanks. I found the plastic ones on FW site, but no stainless. I just think they will last longer and no rust stains. Attwood an aftermarket part supplier? |

The drains on mine are plastic bodied but but with a stainless trim on the outside! Graham |

Attwood, is an OEM and Aftermarket supplier to the marine industry (A Brunswick Company). They have a variety of products that are available, shop around. Here is one place you can check. http://www.jmsonline.net/ATTWOOD-NAVIGATION-LIGHTS.htm Seafarer and Attwood make some reasonably priced SS thru hull fittings. Check these guys for some. http://www.discountmarinesupplies.com/P ... pters.html |

Yeah the thru hulls on my 2007 were plastic with a faux stainless exterior. I replaced them with Atwood SS thru hulls when I did my bilge pump upgrades. I'll edit this with a link to that thread. Even although I went up several sizes because of the larger bilge pumps the orifice on the Atwood thru hulls looked smaller than that of the stock thru hull!, so not only do they look stainless, but they look much larger than they actually are too. ![]() edit - here's the link, there's some pics and comparisons over there: http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1206 |

Narwhal - Did you just remove the old and widen the hole a bit to fit it in? I am guessing the larger diameter required the new hose. So now I went from wanting stainless drain holes to changing my bildge pump and float! The Admiral will love you for that! ![]() |

You can follow suit if you wish, but as long as your bildge pump works, I would just change the thru hulls only. |
