Does anyone know what this part is for? Guy who sold me the boat had it in the paperwork bag and I found it on the Four Winns Parts (something in the bow).

http://www.fourwinns.net/partbook/basem ... l=180F-A03

Thanks

HHmmm -- looks like the whole boat to me -- my guess is that your link didn't come through correct?
can you be more specific about the part?

Did the bag come with a trailer?

Funny guys! IE did not post it right. Here is the text:

180 FREEDOM STANDARD 2003

P/L HRX BOW AREA 96

BLOCK, 4X1 PLASTIC #SC-BKP-SR

Looks like a black rectangle with some screw holes and had two screws with it.

Maybe something to do with the bow fill-in cushions?? A mounting block or such?

Yeah, it does appear to be some kind of support block. As it's in the section relating to the bow, I'd guess it's a support for seating. If it is a support for the fill in cushions, I'd imagine that it would mount to the back of the fill in cushions, as the pole supports are white to match the fiberglass that they mount to. I'd poke around in the bow, looking under cushions, or in storage areas to see if you can't find one that matches. I'm thinking the previous owner noticed one was missing, and so the dealer gave him one, and neither of them got around to installing it.

Call FourWinns or a dealer. No guarantees ... I have heard FourWinns is down to 3-4 people working parts and my experience with my dealer has so far been less than perfect with parts ...even warranty stuff.

Look at the underside of your seat bottom cushion and see if it matches the location block that hold the cushions in place.

Yes that block goes under the fill in cushion and rest against the stainless bar that goes across the bow so the cushion doesn't "slip out"
