So here is my problem. My 05' 200 Horizon has lost a lot of top end compared to what it used to have. I thought it might just be my prop because it had seen some better days, but that was replaced and it wasn't the issue. AT 3/4 Throttle I am running 4500 Rpm and 45 mph ballpark. At WOT I run 4500 and 45mph. I used to run 5300 RPM and 55mph at WOT. Could my throttle cable have stretched or gone out of adjustment? At 4500 RPM you can tell the engine has more to give it just isn't responsive to the trottle. Has anyone else had this problem?

If you are gaining speed but not rpms then you have wacked out tach.... The only way you can go faster is too turn the motor faster. Start by verifying the tach with a portable unit.

No. I gain no more speed. Once I get the 3/4 throttle that is all the speed I get. I really feel like I can can't get the trottle all the way open. Do difference in speed or RPMs from 3/4 throttle to wide open throttle

Watch the actual throttle cable on the motor and have someone move the throttle lever and see if it moves the whole amount. (without the motor running of course)

I would go back to the basics and change out the fuel filter. Also, to be sure... this has been occuring on multiple tanks of gas? From the same or different sources? Check the condition of the plugs as well. A little pre-mature for a tune-up, but it can tell you if you are running lean.
