My 2007 Horizon 200, with 5.0 carborated Volvo Penta is overheating. This is its second season in the water. No problems last year. Dealer serviced last fall and this spring. Impeller and thermostate replaced this spring. Second time out, it overheated. I pulled the thermostate and checked the impeller, which looked fine. Still overheating. When I took off the intake hose, no water was flowing in. I blew water backwards through it and water stated to flow. That fixed the problem. About 5 engine hours later, it happened again. Fixed in the same way. I don't see anything come out when I blow water through the intake. Anyone have a similar problem and know what causes it? |

Yup. Sounds like the H2O pump either way. Even though you checked it, it may not be operating. Point is, even when on the muffs at city water pressure, you aren't getting anything out when running. Then again, could be down-stream of the pump as well. Wouldn't an '07 still be under warranty? |

Is there an inlet water filter to keep debris out of the engine? Could it be clogged? +1 to the warranty. |
