VERY COOL! That is an awesome looking water way. Kind of depresses me about the usual look of the Ohio River.

Thats Blythe - which is way Southern Ca and splits the CA/AZ borders.

Videos like that make me miss the desert. I have been to Blythe a million times...my dad drives a hay truck for their company. When I lived in Yucca Valley, I used to go with friends that had boats quite a bit in the summer. We typically went to Parker though...Havasu sometimes too.

Never been out of Blythe or Parker - I spend most of my Colorado river time on Lake Mohave and occasionally Havasu.

Great video and makes me miss being on the river....

Oh well - I'll have to see if I can get a hall pass for the guys-trip to Mohave in October.

McIntyre Park south of Mayflower Park. The water is fairly shallow and there are numerous sandbars....so you have to bee a little careful. Hey...I saw you are in San Diego...do you ever go out in Mission Bay? I want to go there, but am a little concerned about dumping the boat trailer in salt water.....

Sure, I head out from Mission Bay fairly frequently.

What do you want to see? If you are heading out to the ocean, Mission Bay is as good as any to get there. If you actually want to go for a bay cruise and see some stuff, you should consider San Diego Bay instead. SD Bay is much larger and hosts the US Navy, so you can check out the carriers, destroyers and submarines in addition to restaurants, etc.

I wouldn't get too hung up on salt water. While we all know that it's not the best thing in the world for boats and trailers, if you wash down your rig well when you're done you should have any ill-affects.....especially if it's the exception and you usually are in fresh water.

Let me know if you want more info!

San Diego Bay sounds cool. I was stationed on North Island back in 91. Where do you recommend launching?

Pretty limited options....Shelter Island ramp is probably the best bet. Or head across the bridge to Coronado and launch at Glorietta Bay. Both are free ramps with free parking.

Cool thanks for the ride. I especially liked the Aussie Cattle dog at the end.
