the price is OK but in this market, you should be able to grab it for under $30K.
The days of using the term "in this market" are about gone, maybe a month or so you can get away with it, but not much longer. Excess inventory at dealers is dwindling rapidly, and used boat prices are starting to stabilize, and even climb as we slowly are now pulling out of this recession. You can always dream that the market we have experienced the last 9 or 10 months will continue, but it is progressively fading, and faster than you realize.
+1 to Cap'n. Deals are still out there... inventory still to be had - but nowhere near as much.
It'll be very interesting to see the discounting at boat shows this winter/spring. No more of the 30-40% off... with floor planning and inventory costs being higher, it'll be back to 20-25%. And because of that, used boat prices *should* improve. Also, because many dealers will carry less inventory, buyers may decide that the gently used boat that's ready for the water for thousands less will be just the ticket.
That 338 is still available here in Seattle for 140k though... wowsers. I think people just can't get the financing - and there's no more room to drop the price - I think it's out of FW's owership. (inventory floor planning company sold it off).
