:D Just wanted to introduce myself and my boat. I just bought a 90 horizon 220 with a 5.8. The boat is clean and had been stored correctly since it was new (it lived in a garage). The previous owner(s) had it service (at least) at the beginning and end of each season (I have a stack of the service records dating back to when it was bought). I bought it as a ready to go boat (meaning it came with life vests, skis, tube, tools, every thing needed to go to the lake). The trailer just had massive maintenance done on it (new: tires, brakes, coupler, lights). Due to the time of year and the po being hitting a finical bind, I got it at a good deal. It runs great (only dropped it in the water once so far). Now if it were only summer!!!!!!!

So far (just to customize it and make it my own) I've started an led ring on the cup holders (following a board members instructions) and then I plan on putting some leds under the swim platform.

Welcome to the forum.

A couple things:

1. Pictures, otherwise we assume its not true.
2. The best deals can be found at the end of the season..as you have discovered.
3. Where are you at?
4. Lets see some pictures of the cup holder LED rings. (again..no pics...didnt happen)

Yea, Yea..... I knew that was coming. The cup holders are a work in progress (I have the mini blind rods formed just waiting on ups to bring the leds). I was gonna post a picture but I couldn't figure out how to do it (I searched but no still no help).

Here's a little help

Grab the direct link from photobucket, then use the Img tag like you did and post the link between the tags.

BTW, forgot to say Welcome! Nice looking horizon

Sea Boo Open two browser windows (not tabs just to make it easy). Open ifourwinns in one and photo bucket in the other.

Create your message for ifourwinns and where the cursor is is where the picture will be inserted.

Go over to the photobucket page with your pictures showing and hold your mouse over a picture. A little box drops down and shows you 4 choices (Email, Direct Link, HTML, IMG). You want the last one, IMG. Left Click on the IMG box and it will highlight all the data in that box. Now RIGHT click and select copy.

Come back to the ifourwinns message box and RIGHT click and choose paste.

Hit submit and your picture is there.

Here is one I took from your photobucket.

Seaboo

I could actually just highlight your post and put it under my name with the exception that I just bought a 96 horizon 240 under almost the exact same circumstances. I'm interested in what you plan to do your water ride cause im just at the stage of cleaning it up and changing fluids and a few minor repairs. I hope to get it in the water once or twice before winterizing has to be done but that depends on all the paperwork and the few repairs i can get to in the next few weekends.

ps yeah i know no photos yet willl get some today its clean out day.

I took it out for a couple hours the day I bought it (the previous owner and I did a "lake test" in it). I too am waiting on my paperwork (although the wildlife dept gave me a temp. registration so even without the sticker I'm legal). I got the boat home (it was FUN to turn around on my little cul-de-sac) and did a massive cleaning on it. Then I'm sad to say I winterized it/fluid change (we did have 2 nights that were close to 32 degrees). I've missed a couple nice days and almost took it out, but decided to grin and bear it till summer. You are kinda in the same place as I am (too short of a boating season).

I did check and decide to rent a slip next season and save the hastle of towing it, hopefully will spend alot of time on the water. I do plan on this winter doing a led project (still waiting on parts) and I need to fix a small power steering leak (It's just a hose replacement, just got to do it).

I'll be the first to admit I'm not an expert on winterizing (but...I've owned boats and jet skis for the last 10 years and haven't frozen one yet), feel free to send an message and I'll be glad to help. Big hint--get (or be cheep and download one... ).
Now as everyone else would say "Lets see this boat of yours.....No pictures means it didn't happen"
