so i made the jump and winterized and shrink wrapped this year on my own.

i think it all came out successful. i'll see when the wrap comes off and we fire it up next year.

for winterizing i spaced putting Stablie in untill i had started wrapping her up :( hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the a$$. i did fog the snot out of it while winterizing so hopefully that will help.

as for the wrap we had the cheezy little plug in style heat guns. boy did that work great for sealing up the perimeter around the bottom of the boat, but once it came to shrinking the boat i quickly realized it wasn't going to cut it. in a last minute ditch i ran to a rental shop and picked up a tourch you'd use for like burning weeds. hooked it up to a propane tank and off i was. i put a couple small holes here and there but then came back with the smaller guns and small pieces of wrap to patch it up. so far i'm impressed with how well it came out. i didn't smell any burning or see any some :) so hopefully all is well inside...haha.

i highly recommend doing this yourself if you feel up to it. 2 of us (both with boats) bought 17' x 120' 7ml wrap and 6 vents for 180. 90 a piece. 20 bucks for a torch rental. so 100 bucks each for this season. next season is just a torch rental at $10 bucks. for me to have paid for the wrap to be done by a pro it would be $200.... sweet savings.

here is a couple pics i took of it this morning as it was getting it's first Rain/snow on it. don't mind the redneck patches i got alittle carried away in spots, little to HOT! (duct tape and shrink wrap added over holes and seems). couldn't find white duct tape in time.

You shrink wrapped an H190 ? Wow, must be stored outside in the elements I assume.
Never seen a boat that small shrinked wrapped around here, usually just a mooring cover, or tightly secured tarp so it can breath a little. Hmmm, learn something new every day.

You will be fine without Stabil.

yea for snow load and UV rays. i'm in denver colorado. the boat is in the garage almost all summer but stored outside in the winter. lots of peps do the tarp thing but i'm a bit anal. feel better about having the wrap on it to help melt snow off and not weather my mooring cover so much.

sometimes it also gets drug from denver to my in-laws at 8500 feet so the wrap defiantly helps up there.

good to hear about the stable.
