Just thought i'd let you know that I figured out the easiest way to convert my boat to sunsport seating...

Image

Sell mine and buy this one!

This was another leftover 2009 at our local dealer. It's a 3.0 merc, with sunsport seating and the flip up bolsters for both helm and front passenger seats, as well as the full canvas. We will have a cockpit cover thrown in as well as upgrading to a stainless prop.

Our dealer made us a deal we couldn't refuse, and we had buyer for our 2007 so it all sort of fell together. It was kinda like hitting the reset button, because our payments really aren't changing and we are getting a new boat all over again. That's fine by me!

I have some prop questions, but I will start another post for that one.

Congrats. That's one way to make quick work of that project. Did you also end up with the ESP as shown in the picture?

Thanks!

No ESP on this one. Couldn't get it to go away on the Four Winns "build" configurator....

Gidday Chris congrats on the new boat, I still prefered the red but I am biased anyway. I have the same 3.0 merc and am running a 19 inch vengence stainless steel prop. The prop seems to be very well matched for what I use the boat for ( skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding and tubing) and highly recomend that pitch of prop.

hope this helps

A whole lot easier than trying to round up the pats, rip out the old and install the new (then trying to get rid of the old). Plus it's new and shiney!!!!

Great looking boat

That's exactly what I was thinking! Although it would have been a neat project, this is just a whole lot easier.

Ardy, that pic of the speedo is encouraging, and knowing how you and the admiral are pulling skis all the time sounds like good hole shot can be had with the vengeance prop too! You mentioned 19"pitch, is that 14-1/4" Diameter?

Chris
I thinkthat sounds about right, The prop seems to do everything pretty well . The other prop that might be worth investigating is the enertia , the selling point for them is that the blades are even thinner than the vengence, and are reported to be very good on performance. I would have a look for you to confirm diameter size but the boat is 100 miles away and won't be getting used for another eight sleeps, but who's counting
hope this helps

Excellent way to make your problem go away! Congratulations! I would look into adding an extended swim platform now though...it'll be way more expensive after you have left the showroom. It is an upgrade that you will not regret.

Our dealer made us a great deal on a swim platform when we bought the boat last year. I didn't want it.

We're having one installed this spring.

It's almost a necessity with the 180.

Congrats on your purchase Chris. You're gonna love the sunsport!!
