That OMC Cobra link is way off topic...I'd almost say it is spam, but it is actually some good info.
However, I can answer the original question.
Yes, Four Winns with outboards are relatively rare.
By the early 80s many/most of the major boat builders really focused on sterndrives. Four Winns continued to make outboard powered boats, however, their major product lines were predominately sterndrive powered.
Up until 2004 Four Winns did offer a limited number of boats with outboards. They were never big sellers and many times they were likely special orders. Four Winns currently does not offer any boats with an outboard.
There is likely many reasons for that. Consumer trends, cost, dealer acceptance (training/service), etc.
That all being said, since we are now seeing that boat motors are required to meet more strict emissions standards at the federal level, sterndrive power plants have lost some of their advantages...cost being the major one.
I think it is likely that more boat builders will be getting back into the outboard bow rider market. Bayliner has reintroduced a couple of outboard models and a few others never got entirely out of offering them.
My thought is that outboards are coming back.
