I considered one as our 230 does not have the extended platform now. To me, the platforms that come from a place like this look cheap. It was essentially the same price for the one from Four Winns. If we did go ahead...it would have been direct from FW. Since we do not spend a lot of time on the boat...we anchor and head to the beach we decided to pass on adding it.

I know 4-5 people that have them from these guys and ALL of them are VERY well built. If I was going to spend $1500.00 on my boat right now, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Best money I have ever spent on a boat, and I have spent alot. Even though I took my FW outs a total of 5 times last year I would happily spend that money again. Swimplatform.com is by far superior to the OEM FW one.

Just a personal preference. Maybe in a color like yours they look better. The ones I have seen in person (white) to me look cheap.

To me this one still looks better then the "diving board" style of the one from FW.

For the guys that have them. I really like how FW has the ladder stored under a "door" and out of the way. How do you feel the under the platform ladder works? Quality? What holds it up there when not in use? Seems like it would drag in the water when getting on plane. I am curious.

I would...but decided to spend some cash and extend the warranty on my boat. I have had a few small issues that are not resolved (and dont see a firm resolution soon enough), so the $$$ needs to go there. That, combined with the slow car business means I cant toss money at the boat like I normally would.

Nothing drags when you plane, trust me I tried to make it. As for the ladder you never use the platform is right at water level when sitting still. The ladder is the same ladder you see on all go fast boats and 90% of any other boat, and is held in place with a rubber type strap.

Sell something, a gun, kid, liver, something, i'm telling you its the biggest improvement you will make on that boat.
