I have lurked here for a long time, but am now in need of some help. I have a 2000 Horizon 210 with a 5.7 Volvo Penta. The hydraulic pump, bracket and all, has pulled out of the floor and tips over, which spills the hydraulic fluid. Any good ideas on reattaching the pump bracket? It appears that it was never attached to anything other than fiberglass, and I don't know how to keep it attached. Thanks for your help! |

Is there any way to get a backing plate or piece of plywood behind there to reinforce it? |

I wish there was a way to get behind it, or under it. However, it is mounted on a flat surface, with not way to get behind. |

I'd fill the existing holes with something like thickened epoxy and redrill new holes; either in the epoxy, or if you're in a hurry to use the boat, close by. There's usually some "slack" in the cables and hoses to allow the bracket to be moved slightly. The screws were probably overtightened in the factory and stripped out of the fibreglass. Graham |

Here's where I relocated mine to. ![]() But beware the transom tunnel has no support material other than fibreglass and it's not too thick. I had to make up the starboard mounting piece and then I screwed it to some existing support blocks for my swimplatform. I would simply move your unit over a couple of inches and put 1/2" or 5/8" screws back in. |
