Maybe I'll will get used to it, but I'm not a big fan of the metal brackets that aren't padded or protected on the sundeck where the walk through flips up. Once last summer during our first outing and tonight while cleaning in the garage I have hit my knee on the backets. Is it just me or has anyone else felt my pain?

agreed....more than once, I've hit my knee or sat on them.....Not good. Still nice to have the walkthrough especially for sliding heavy items from the back of the boat without setting them on the vinyl.

I hate the transom walk through for the same reason... The metal hinge bracket is horrible! I almost never use mine anyhow and would like to remove it... Additionally, if the boat gets wet, the carpet underneath gets soaked, cannot dry, and will eventually cause a mold problem... Does anyone know if the bracket can be replaced with a hinge-less low profile solid piece of metal?
