Has anyone ever installed the oil filter relocation kit in a 190 Horizon. Can't really get to the boat right now, and am wondering if there is anything in the way that would prevent easily installing it (aside from removing the sunsport seating). I would assume that I should be able to get it in there without too much effort.

Also, does anyone know of anywhere to buy the kit online? I know I can get it from my dealer for $250, but would prefer to just order it online, but can't seem to find anyone that sells it.

Edit: Forgot to mention it is a VP 5.0GL

I fitted the VP kit to a 225 Sundowner with the 5.7 V8. Very easy (apart from the usual access to the filter location on the block). The remote filter head attaches to the port riser, using the 2 forward bolts; the filter then sits above the manifold, it doesn't foul anything.

Yep, the toughest bit will be connecting to where the existing filter is on the bottom rear of the block. Probably better buying the correct kit as the hoses will be the right length and the mounts will be included to fit the manifold.

You can buy aftermarket automotive ones for a small block Chev that will suit, but the hoses may be too long or short and you will have to make the manifold bracket. Depends how much time and patience you have! :D

Thanks for the help, I will probably order the one from the dealer.
