I've noticed that on my 2007 horizon windshield the rubber gasket is wearing off and making black marks. By gasket I'm talking about the rubber strip that protects the swing up window from being "metal on metal" when closed... These black marks are really tough to remove and if you are not careful, you can take off the sparkly coating that FW used on the aluminum... I really wish they had left the aluminum either plain or brushed! ugghh... What can be done to recoat the aluminum when Four Winns coating wears/chips off? |

Four winns sales the spray paint to touch up for the windshields frames in that color. Also you should be able to get the new rubber from them to. ![]() Good luck with it. ![]() |

Thanks for the reply... I will definitely buy a can of spray for the framing... There are other small rock chips and scratch areas that could use a touch up if it matches well... As for the gasket, I think it might be better to take my chances with a more creative solution that won't make a mess! |
