I got a 141/2 x 19 prop and it is way better then the 141/4 x 21! im at top speed in no time! so i took the boat out with my new prop and newly installed wakeboard tower out saturday and everything was great. we were out for about 2 hours and i had to take someone back to the dock cuz they had to go towork. so we turn the boat off, dropped them off crunk it back up idled past the bouys and when i gassed it the damn intake is leaking and sucking in air. wtf! the motor just got rebuilt last year for 2300 bucks. i took the manifold off sunday and how bout there is no gasket on the right side of the intake! no sealant or anything. the left side is fine but how do u rebuild a motor and not put a gasket on? jjeez. im surprised it lasted last summer and this long. i guess the higher rpms caused it. oh and i was looking at my carb and with the trottle all the way forward the butterflies arnt 90 degrees. how do i adjust that?

I think I'd take it back to the shop that rebuilt it and have them finish the job they started...... correctly.

I'd probably put it back together quick & let the shop you paid $2300 to figure out what is going on. Wouldn't want to take it apart & risk any chance of the shop passing the buck because of it.
