Greetings forum members. My wife and I recently bought 2002 H200. We love it. We looked long and hard in making our buying decison. I was impressed by the fit and finish, features and over all value of Four Winns. We live in the middle Tennessee area and have taken it out seven or eight times since we bought it in April. Center Hill lake is incredible. The boat runs great, however it takes four or five turns of the key to get it started. I've used "marine" stay bil to adress any ethanol fuel issues but it's still reluctant to start. Is this normal? If not, any suggestions on how to eliminate the problem? Thanks

Might just need a tuneup. My cousin lives and boats in Hendersonville. I haven't been there but it sure looks like a nice place to boat.

Coupla things:

1. Welcome to the forum!
2. We love pictures here. The rule is, "pics, or it never happened." So please post some pics, we'd love to see your boat.
3. It's a good idea to update your signature with a name, your boat and power package, etc., so when you have questions people know whether you're talking Volvo or Merc, drive type, etc.
4. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome!

We lived in Franklin, TN for a short period. I didn't have a boat at the time, but we rented a pontoon one weekend at Center Hill Lake. I remember it was beautiful! I live in central KY now. I hope to venture down that way and explore Center Hill again- only this time on my boat!

Looking forward to seeing some pics!

Good news. Spent a full day on the boat this past weekend and she cranked up on the first try each day. I'm assuming the 90 degree tempatures presented a more favorable "starting" enviroment. Looking forward to a long Memorial Day weekend with friends, sunshine and temps in the upper 80's :D . Thanks for the responses.

I live in Richmond, about 20 min south of Lexington. Do you ever get down to Cumberland?

No, we typically go to Cave Run, Laurel, Lake Norris, or the Ohio River. Is that where you go?

Glad to see another Vols fan on board. We used to go to Center Hill when we had our 240, beautiful lake and great boating.
Now we're at Percy Priest for a while, nice lake but don't like being land locked. Maybe see you on the lake, we'll have the big orange T flying.

I've heard that running non-ethanol gas will cure intermittent problems like this one. As I understand it, the theory is that on humid days the ethanol gas will absorb moisture from the air making for harder starting with non-fuel injected engines. I don't believe that the Marine Stabil product addresses the 'water retention' issue.

We have been to Cave Run, Laurel and Cumberland. Cumberland this weekend. Laurel is probably my favorite just a little smaller. It take me about the same amount of time to get to each. (about 90 min)
