Anyone know if its possible to raise the height of the captains chairs? I really don't want them higher, but the way Four Winns designed these chairs, they will not swivel around 180 degrees without rubbing dangerously against the baseboard trim vinyl... Its already starting to wear out the Vinyl... Additionally you can only rotate the seats when they are slid all the way back and even then, you can only rotate 180 in one direction... Whoever designed this must have been hungover that day...

I guess I'm either going to have to figure this out, or put some heavy duty patch guard or tape here to stop it from destroying the Vinyl...

I have a similar question. On my F224, the seats would be more comfortable and would give a better view if they were about 4 to 6 inches taller.

I know what you mean on the 2007 200H, i have looked at my seats too. if i could just get the chair stem to go up about 2 inches it would clear the side rail. I can't get mine to swivel more than 90 dregrees. even the passenger seat won't swivle around. makes it harder to ride shotgun when pulling tubers or skiers.

it is not a matter of hight, like sitting on something higher. I have the flip up bolsters. i am pleanty high. it is just that the seat is mounted in the boat 2 inches to close to the side of the boat or it is 2 inches short so the back of the chair doesn't clear the side rail.

My cousin has the 2004 200H and we can spin like little kids in an office chair.

My chairs are a bit stiff, but both swivel all the way around. My concern about raising the height would be the loss of knee room.

While I like having the bolster option, I miss the seats on my FW Freedom 180... they would easily swivel however I wanted them to... :-( When I pull boarders, I like to have my seat 45 degrees counter clockwise so I can look back occasionally... when I take a group out I like to put the front seats 180 so that everyone can face each other... I'm pissed that I didn't discover this problem before I bought the boat...

How do the seats pull off? I wonder if it would be easier to just pull the seat off its post and set it back down 180...

Don't know if these will work for any of you.

I like the style of those seats (colors do not match my boat), but they appear to be about the same height as my current seat. When I get back from my trip, I am going to unbolt my seat and take some measurements and go down to West Marine and see what post option works best.
