I was hoping someone had an easier solution to remove the bench seat in a h180. Some of the seam stitching in the upholstry has given out due to age, and I want to take the cover off and restitch it. I did this very successfully and easily (although time consuming) for the front cushions. The only seem left giving way is in the seat of the bench seat. A quick look at it only seems to allow for taking it out by unscrewing it from the bracket that is inserted in the box shaped center support that is slides forward and backword on. Does anyone know another way? I don't want to remove screws and re-screw into the same holes if I don't need to. That just tends to loosen things up in the long term.

I have the same problem with stitching. How do you take the cover off and get it back on just like new?

The front cushions slide onto brackets behind the cushion and are secured in place by screws on the bottom side of the cushion. I removed the screws and lifted upward on the lower ends of the cushions to remove them. Once removed, I pulled the staples out of the piping/edging and then the staples off the cushion covers themselves. I did on side at a time so that it would go right back to the same spot it came from. Once the staples were out, I flipped the cover inside-out and restitched it by hand. With the right tension on the stitch, you cannot tell what was redone and what was done by the factory. There was no damage to the cover or the foam underneath, so it was just restitching. Alot of what needed to be redone was the corners. I stitched from what was still solid into the part that came apart. I used a strong thread that is apparently mildew resistant that was suggested at a local sewing/craft store. Once the stitching was complete, flip the cover right side out and restaple with a staple gun. It wasn't difficult to do the front covers, just a little time consuming. The first one always takes the longest. It took me about an hour to do the second one. Removal of the back bench seat seems to be more difficult.
