Have any of you had a problem with the carpet snaps completely coming out of the floor. The dealer replaced them twice and won't cover it anymore now that I am out of the 1 year warranty. It seems they rip out when I tow my boat at highway speed. Which is confusing because I run around 53-58 on the water and never go above 60 when towing. Its a 2008 model if anyone is wanting to know

This is why I put all carpet either in truck or ski locker. lately - I have taken to using a Yamaha SS220 shipping cover to cover boat when I am trailing at speed. I know turn coat, but cheap (read free). when they fall apart - toss and get new one

When on the water you are not hitting that speed for long periods of time - also, you are standing on top of the carpet along with all the other STUFF you carry in the boat......my dealer warned me that towing with the carpet in will result in pulled snaps. I had one pulled thru when i picked up the boat....i gooped it with silicone and replaced it and no probs since.

I know it's a pain, but i pull the carpet after boating anyway to hang it up to dry....as mentioned roller her all up and stow it till you hit the launch make ready point.

I had my dealer add about a dozen snaps to keep the wind from getting under it, then I use chapstick to lubricate the snaps so they un-snap easier. No problems.

I had the same problem. However, I find it easier to just keep the bow cover only on as opposed to pulling the carpet out. No problems since.
