We just purchased our first Four Winns! It's a 2006 Horizon 210 that our Dealer bought directly from Four Winns sans engine. They then bought the engine directly from Four Winns as well: it's the 320hp 5.7 Volvo with "closed cooling" and put it in the Horizon. This motor was used in a few boats for pictures with extremely low hours. We recently moved to Charlotte NC and my 17" Checkmate was too small and shallow for Lake Norman. My extended family has bought a few Four Winns from this Dealer as well, great family business in Portage MI.

We're planning to buy a small "head" for the boat in case there is an emergency. It has the doors which seperate the front of the boat. Other than that, I think we're ready to boat.

Anyway, good to be on board! I can't wait to browse around!

SX or DP? That'll be a sweet power package for a 210 and closed cooling will be great. Looking forward to the pics. I've never heard of a dealer buying a hull with no power. Where do you boat?

SX. The Dealer here has purchased quite a few like this from them (boats sans motors, etc). The owner said they basically beg for boats like this but usually some Dealer in Canada snatches them up. They even purchased one with no interior which will work out great since they also had one that was wrecked on the side but had a perfect interior. My brother was trying to talk them into putting a 5.0 260hp (or is it 270hp) into an 18' they have coming in but they won't do it. V6 only.

Here's a couple of pics of the boat when we looked at it at the Dealer. It has the "standard" seating which my wife likes better for all the extra room for changing, laying out a picnic blanket, etc...

We boat on Lake Norman in Charlotte NC. Massive lake; 530 miles of shoreline. I think this size is the minimum for that lake, but I really don't want anything bigger. I was looking up to 24' but enjoy the smaller sizes, although a head would be nice.
