I purchased a 93 190 Horizon last spring. The boat has the thru hull transducer from the factory, but no depthsounder. Can I purchase one similar to what is available through West Marine i.e. Hawkeye Digital Depthsounder and use the existing transducer? |

Most likely not. You will probably need to replace the transducer. |

I have a '96 Horizon with the same problem. I called Four Winns & they gave me a part number, but they do not have it any longer. They referred me to another company & they told me it was no longer made. I ended up replacing the transducer & cut a hole in the dash for a depthfinder. |

How difficult is it to replace the transducer if I want to use the thru hull. Is it as simple as unscrewing the nut on top and replacing? Do you know if they are the same size as the current? |

Transducers vary in size. A friend replaced on not to long ago, the new one was slightly larger. You might have to get some 3m 5200 Solvent to loosen it. I'm going to guess that the unit was installed with 5200. |
