Just cleaned up the boat after last weekends trip - I noticed some "stuff" on the windows in the front....more than likely sunblock overspray. It would not come off with water and towel so was wondering what to use to clean this. They warnings say what not to use (list is long), but doesn't saw what to use.

Also - are all the windows on the SS plexi or just the walk thru? I tapped and could not tell - guess I could smash it to see if it shatters, but chose not to.

If it's glass and you have some minor etching from water spots or chemicals, you can use rubbing compound on it. If it's plexy, try the Meguiar's plastic cleaner and then the polish.

It is plexi. I used Meguiars Scratch-X product to clean with a micro-fiber towel. I think the manual even says to never use glass cleaner with paper towel as it could leave minor scratchs.

I stayed away from the SS because of the plexi windows. The owner of the shop said they do scratch easier, plus you lose the wind coverage when blasting down the lake. But the tinted/plexi does look good!

Thanks! - a little late to worry about the selection at this stage of the game though....the wind is not an issue really....of course it gets a tad warmer in TX than NC....supposed to be in the 3 digits next week so a little wind is OK. Trade off is we wakeboard until Thanksgiving usually.

Yeah true! I wasn't thinking as much about the temp of the wind as the actual wind itself. Heck the whole reason I moved to NC is to wakeboard on Thanksgiving. Highs in Sept, Oct, Nov are 82, 72, and 62. 50's in Dec-Feb though so I'm out then.

Bikini windshields used to be plexi but they began to change to tinted tempered in '08. Round about the time they started with the polished stainless windshield header option for the same.

I love it when a manufacturer tweaks something that's something they should have done in the first place. Actually shows they care, listen, and most likely use their own boats. Good to hear!
