Hi all new to forums here. I have a horizon 190 with 5.4 vortex, 2300 holley carb (500cfm). stock motor. The boat sat for 2 years. The boat starts and runs for 3-4 min the dies. The engine sounds ok then it stumbles once and dies. I have cleaned out the gas tank, rebuilt the carb but no help. I gess next would be cap, rotor and fuel filter. Any other ideas would help. HI all, Back again, I have narrowed down my problem. When you start the boat the fuel pump power feed is from the battery. When you let go of the switch there is a relay that flips anmd the power for the pump is then from the alternator. When the boat is running the voltage guage does not seem to go above 12V. I am going to have the alternator tested. |
