For the older model boating crowd, where is your in-hull depth transducer located? The epoxy on mine let go and the transducer has been flopping around in the bottom of the bilge since I got the boat. I think it is supposed to be about 6 inches from center of the bilge to the starboard side. I am pretty sure its not supposed to be in the center since the fiberglass resin from the molding process looks rather thick there. Also, does anyones in-hull transducer still work? Mine still "ticks" when held up to the ear and will read depth every once in awhile, usually just after launching the boat but only for about 10 seconds and then nothing. Thanks |

Not sure what you mean by older, but mine is as you describe - a short distance out from the keel to the starboard side. |

I meant older model Horizons. '88 to '91 or '92 ish. I know these hulls are basically the same as mine. I've never seen a newer Four Winns to know what they have in common with the older models. My main concern is getting the transducer back in the factory location so that I know it is shooting through a solid portion of the hull. |
