| Post subject: | ANYONE HELP WITH REPACKING BEARINGS ON A 94 180 Horizon? |
This may seem like a REAL stupid question, but I'v got metal grease covers on my hubs, and I don't know how to get them off. I don't want to just bacng on them with a rubber mallet if they are supposed to screw off. The boat's new to me, and I can't find any info. They do not have any zerk fittings, etc. Any help? |

They are just pressed on into the end of the hub. New ones can be a bugger to get on. Just tap with a rubber mallet on each of the sides to work them loose. I would replace them with a set of Bearing Buddies after the hubs have been removed and the bearings inspect, replaced if needed and repacked. |
