Hello everyone, I am knew to iFourWinns, and really have enjoyed reading everyones discussions so far. What I find very exciting is seeing how many people have owned several Four Winns boats over the years! I have a 1989 Horizon that I have owned since it was new and it has 375hrs on it so far. My family and myself have enjoyed this boat over the years, but I need your help if I can ask. My walk-thru windshield is becoming a worry for me. The windshield is showing signs of seperation, between the fold out window and the stationary two panes of glass. Is there anybody that has experienced this problem and what can be done to fix this? I have taken very good care of my boat, and it has been very good to me over the years and it makes me sad to not be able to help. Please let me know if you have any ideas or good a fix. Thank you, Jim |

Hey Jim, welcome. I don't think we have many people here who are the original owners of 21 year old boats, that's awesome. Please post some pics, and of the windshield, if you can. |

welcome! Always glad to see more and more owners of boats from this era. Is the issue with the Gap Between the glass on the drivers or passenger side of the boat? You can easily dis-assemble the metal framing (be careful, it will bend easily) by removing the screws on the frame, and re-adjust. I recommend using some WD-40 or something similar to provide lubricant for the window seals. I had a screw rattle out in trailering, and had whole window come apart on the water. Luckily it was a relatively easy fix, just required 2 people and some steady hands. Some photos of the issue would defiantly provide some insight to your situation. Again, Welcome! |
