hi new boat owner with lots of bad luck or just a crappy horizon. it would not start and would blow the fuse so we replaced the starter and solenoid and it started up great in the driveway about 10 times. went up to the lake this morning and had to get towed off. it sounded like the starter didn't disengage and the motor stopped and the starter was hot and smoking. this is the 3rd one we put in. any suggestions of what to try next. we are wondering about the ignition? any thoughts? |

When you took the original starter off, did it have shims? |
