Post subject:  New Guy to Four Winns...

Hi all! My wife and I are new to Four Winns but not new to boating. Anyway's we bought a new 2011 H210 SS Today!!! We are super excited!! We have not signed any paper work yet (tomorrow) but are wondering if anyone with this boat has any ideas of what to ask the dealer to throw in (freebies) with our new boat. It comes with bow and cockpit covers, bimini top and such. Any ideas would be fantastic as we have never bought a brand new boat. Thanks in advance.

P.S. This is an awesome website, I learn a lot from everyone here. Cant wait to post the pictures of our new rig.

Welcome and we're glad you found us.
I've never bought a new boat either but I think asking for things now will be too late. If you've already committed, the best you'll get are some marina t-shirts or coozies.... If you're still negotiating then ask for any of the following (or all):
-Portable VHF
-GPS/Chartplotter with local card
-Anchor and rode (don't assume there is one there)
-Life jackets
-Coast guard package. This varies depending on boat size and region but might include flares, whistle., manual bilge pump, floating safety line, bail bucket, flashlight etc....
-BBQ and mount
-tube and rope
-skis
- Anything your boating fantasy entails really.
-Spare tire for trailer
-Aluminum rim upgrade
- Stereo Upgrade

Remember it may be cheaper to add some value now and get this stuff at dealer cutthroat prices. Make sure you do some research and be specific.

Keep us up to date on your progress.

Hey I like the coozie idea. I figured maybe a trailer cover would be a good thing they could throw in. I guess Im just looking for things that most dealers are easy about but require the buyer to ask. You have some good ideas and thanks.

Question, how do I post a picture to my signature and how can I post other photos of our new boat....because from what I have read here on the site is there are people that will come after me if I don't post pictures. Frankly, we don't want that.

Look through the "Forum Issues" section. Basically you have to upload to a hosting site (i use photobucket) and then you paste in the direct link between the IMG tags. It sounds difficault but easy once you figure it out.

I am also new to the forum. Just traded our 2004 Sea Ray Sundeck on a new 2008 H210 Frenzy (Blue). Trying to figure out how to add a picture linked to one of my facebook photos, but don't think that it is taking. Any tips on adding a photo?

Great looking boat!! It's just interesting that there's no Four Winns badge anywhere on the sides. Did you take them off for some reason?

Nevermind...just saw other Frenzy pics and I guess they don't put them on that model.

I was thinking of ordering the Four Winns logos for the sides, but I think that they run about $80 each through the dealer. I can get the logos cut in vinyl for about $20 for a set of two, but I think that might look "cheesy". Wife tells me to leave it alone as the logo is already on the edge of swim platform.

I've been searching the interent for some stainless FW logo's but coming up empty. Kind of bummed that they left the logos off of the Frenzy Edition in 2008.

Any thoughts?

Keep an eye on ebay. I've seen them on there every once in awhile.

Silly question, but no bow numbers or did you photoshop them out?

Nice boat BTW!

Good catch on the registration numbers! Using a temp registration until the state of Colorado sends me the numbers. Apparently it takes 30-60 days to issue my numbers. Wierd - I am in the military and every other state I've lived in issues numbers and registration sticker on the spot.

I dread having to put numbers on the bow anyway. Guess that I will try to get custom cut vinyl that matches the gelcoat/graphics scheme.
