Anybody have any insight on this? I was there a few months ago and knew there was a problem when they had zero Four Winns instock. I also noticed Crownline boats had shown up on their website...but now I see Phil Dill is no longer listed as a dealer for the D/FW area and now North Texas Marine is listed and they have some 2011's in stock.... Any ideas? |

Are they still selling the Vista's? I know of another dealer that has picked up the Crownline runabout line... Their reason is that Four Winns seems to be concentrating more on cruisers than runabouts. Take it for what it's worth but that's what I heard. Seems to me that Four Winns is pumping out lots of runabouts and is even trying to bring back OB's plus some new funky colours.... I think it's a matter of Crownline offering better dealer incentives and they have a good name to boot. In all the economic and bankruptcy uncertainty I imagine if you were only selling runabouts you may be enticed to "jump ship" with promises of sweeter incentives. |

Yep, the Winni guys picked up Crownline this year. They are pretty pumped about it too. Can't explain what happened to Philly Dilly, but he bailed. |

Did he bail???? Maybe, maybe not! I was told by a sales man at my Four Winns dealer that each dealership can choose to sell Four Winns or boat's by other manufacturers, obviously! But, If they decide to sell the Four Winns name, they have to live up to a certain standard so to speak. Something along the lines of being a five star dealer is required to sell the FW product. If they slip to less than a five star dealer, say to four stars, I guess they can possible loose the privilege to sell FW. Evidently Four Winns keeps pretty good tab's on the dealers pushing there product, making sure each dealer is up to speed with Four Winns product, and making sure that they are offering good customer support, as they should. Just my 2 cents of what I was told....who really knows. Jim |

Doesn't surprise me.. I don't even have a dealer near me anymore unless I wanna drive 3 hours 1 way. Yeah its sore subject with me too ![]() Fancy new boats and pretty new colors are worthless if there are no dealers around to sell them ![]() |

Phil was a Crownline and Four Winns for many years, 2 years ago they let Crownline go because Phil is a Volvo strong dealer. Crownline went almost exculsive Merc. Phil dropped them. Story I got is Phil made less money with only Four Winns and was approached to do Crownline again and they opted to drop FW to take Crownline again. Phil is one of the top dealers in the country and they are the lucky ones to get to pick and choose who they sell. |

Winnisquam Marine will be at the Boston boat show this weekend with only Crownlines. No Four Winns boats. That's quite a turnaround for them. |

Quoting Greg Gaudin, my service advisor: "Unfortunately we are no longer the Four Winns Dealer. However, I can still service the motor and drive. At this point, we have been able to still get boat related parts. I know at some point that will stop. I do not know when however. As far as the reason for no longer carrying the line I do not know the reason. I am not sure if it was an economic decision or the fact that we became the Crownline Dealer again. Thanks Greg Gaudin" |

Being that North Tex. Marine is a HUGE Glastron dealer, it makes sense for them to carry both FW and Glastron. More than for Phil Dill to carry Crownline and Four Winns again. |

Now the part of Arkansas where I live there isn't a lot of BIG Lakes, but there are some smaller ones as well as some good boating rivers. There are lots of Lakes in Arkansas... some of them pretty good size. Plenty of dealers too, just no FW dealers anymore. |
