A few weeks ago I picked up a impeller replacement kit and finally decided to install it last night. After taking the old one out, which looked to be in brand new condition still, I noticed that the replacement impeller is about half the width in size. The part number I received from the dealer was 21213660. So my two questions are:

1) Is this the correct replacement impeller? I am assuming not, but thought I would ask anyway. Unfortunetely, I didn't write down the part number of the old one.

2) I'd like to use my boat today, so do I need to re-lube and replace the O-ring when I put the old one back in? I already put it in last night, but never lubed it up and didn't replace the O-ring, so now I'm a little worried.

Thanks,

Chris

You should be fine. To be sure, take a quick peek at it after you've been on the water for a few minutes to be sure there's no leaks.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but "half the width" sounds like you got the wrong impeller. I would expect your impeller kit part number to be 3862567, assuming there were no changes to it between '05 and '07 (I don't think there were). However, part numbers do get changed/superseded (for the same actual part) sometimes, so that's not absolute either.

You have an incorrect impleller size. If you attempt to use this wrong size. You're costs will be much higher, then buying the correct size.

Good luck!
