Here's a few pictures of our first weekend out on our first boat ('98 Horizon RX).

Since it's still April in Wisconsin, water was too cold to swim, but we had a blast anyway on Friday and Saturday.

The only thing lost was a cupholder (flew out of the bow), West Marine was conveniently on the way home to fill the hole and picked up a few other accessories using the 10% new boaters discount.

Robbo

The boat looks great and the pics of you and your family enjoying time on the water make me want to get out there just that much more!

Thanks, with about a dozen good size lakes within 15-20 minutes we're looking forward to using the boat often.

Is that Nagawicka Lake? I was just there yesterday, and have a very similar boat to yours. Mine is a 2000 FW 180 Horizon with the same layout. Where do you do most of your boating? Did you catch anything?

The fishing picture is from Nagawicka and the others from Pewaukee the day before. You must frequent Nagawicka often recognizing from the background.

It's our first year with the boat, but we'll probably do a lot on both of those lakes since they're only 15 minutes away. I might venture to Tichigan or Little Muskego, but I don't know those lakes at all.

No fish were caught, my son wanted to try out his new fishing pole. Mostly we were just hanging out trying out the anchor.

Isn't the dock shown in the pics from Nags? That's how I recognized it, since I was just there on Sunday.

Have any more info on your boat? Engine size, accessories?

The dock pictures are from the Pewaukee lake public launch. They do look very similar.

We have a '98 Horizon RX (18') that we just got a few weeks ago. Not many accessories yet, but we'll be adding a bimini within the next month or so and also need to replace the radio.

The boat has the 4.3GL Volvo SX engine/drive setup, which we're also going to look at 4-blade props to plane out at tubing/skiing speed. Tubing at 30 does not interest my wife

Is yours also new this year?

I actually purchased mine August of last year, one week before our wedding. Long story short, it was the first time she has hung up on me in over 6 years. If I ever name her, it will be 'Bad Timing'. I took her out maybe 6 times last year, so I'm geared up for summer.

I actually just replaced my stereo as well. I got a Pioneer CD head unit with the optional iPod cable. It was close to $200 from BB. Well worth it, but now I want to add a 2nd battery so we don't get stranded. Any info for me? I would also like to add 2-4 more speakers.

I hope your wife now appreciates the boat.

A must have for the new stereo will be the IPod accessory jack. I don't care if it's not a CD player as long as we can plug our IPods in.

Top priority is the bimini top though so we have shade when out on the water when it's hot.

Where is the Pewaukee public launch? And how much do they charge? I usually launch from Smokeys since I purchase my bait there.
