I'm having issues with my ski locker draining. I've put a pressure washer and air compressor hose and to no end cant get it flowing out.

Check your fuel tank and make sure it hasn't slid to pinch off the drain.

I'm working on this problem right now. I pulled off the fuel tank cover and can see that the fuel tank is blocking the drain. I'm going to make some blocks to keep the tank 1/2" or so off the drain. That should take care of it.

These guys have you on the right track. Fuel tank shift is a known problem on the Horizon. Factory brackets often break or loosen. With a relatively (or completely) empty tank you should be able to shift the tank and un-pinch the drain hose from the ski locker, and then use some blocks or other brackets to secure it again.

I'm dealing with mine right now. I remembered this post and had to come read it again to see if there any more suggestions.

I noticed the problem a couple weeks ago and thought it was a minor annoyance. I keep it in my garage and it rarely sits out so other than some stinky water in the bottom I didn't regard it as critical.

The other day as I was making a mental note of all the things I had to get done for our week long independence day vacation. It occurred to me that since the boat will be moored to the dock of the lake house we're renting all week long, I had a very good chance of having a sleepless night wondering if rain was going to fill my ski locker since I believe the head and the forward compartments drain into it. Especially with all the rain we've been getting this year.

So as I type I have the drained gas tank pulled 1 - 2 " up off the floor (with a ceiling hook, come-along, and some straps) and I'm heading to Lowes to get something to put under it. What I have in mind is two vinyl trim pieces (jam stops I believe). They're 1/2" thick and flexible enough that I should be able to slide them in from the engine compartment.

Well sitting down to type this was a nice break, but I better get back to work :D

No big mystery there. The reason I noticed mine was that I was washing the interior of the boat and had a 5 gallon pail of dirty water that I didn't want to hurt myself or risk spilling all over the side of the boat and other stuff in the garage, taking down. So I figured I'd dump it in there, it would drain through the bilge, out the drain plug and into the floor drain right below it. Most of it was still there today.

We also store a tube in there that always drains more water on the trip home.

I just kind of assumed that if there was a drain there, it should drain. I could be wrong, but probably not :wink:

BTW - two PVC laths slid in from the engine compartment did the trick. There were two strips of dense foam tape that the tank sits on, it looks like they're supposed to provide enough clearance under the tank to allow the water to drain. But on mine that foam was compressed so much that the tank sat right on the bottom of the hull and sealed out any drainage. I figured I wanted something under there that would give it support but would also give just a little and not wear into the tank.

Also, my tank was completely empty (i siphoned the remaining and visually verified that) and it was still very difficult to raise. Its like it was wedged into the space. I was expecting a couple hour project and it turned into 4 - 5 hours.
