Kind of a oxymoron nowdays with towers and such, not too many boats come with them anymore. I'm not a big bimini-top fan these days as my old-arse skin can't take it anymore, I need shade, all the time....

My top is stowed under the sun-pad normally, so you had to drag it out, roll it out, snap it up, and all's well. I wanted it to be "Up" and installed all the time i.e." bimini-style", so I made up some solid braces today to run it up, now all I have to do is roll and snap when the suns up, at dusk I can store it and wake-on.
Won a boot off E-Bay tonight to top it off.

GREAT idea. I have been upset because my boats top wasn't made to "stay up" when not snapped, ect. I feel like such an IDIOT for not coming up with the idea of fabing up a brace so I could run with it in place (but yet not hooked up). I think I will copy your idea.

If your frame is 3/4 like mine, Lowes has 3/4 aluminium tubing for 9 bucks for a 4 ft. piece. West-Marine wanted 39 bucks for one..................I did buy all the fittings a W/M tho, 22.00 for the poly fittings.
