Get the boat off the trailer drive it to the house unload it, hour later go to take the boat to a friends house and it won't start. Check the battery it's fine, turn the key you hear the beep but nothing else. It does not try to turn over...nothing... I cuss at it then go do something else for ten minutes or so and come back and it starts right up. Comes and goes... I am going to clean the terminals and check the ignition switch this weekend. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. 2001 H180 5.0 volvo outdrive |

Also check the safety lanyard switch. I was besides myself with the multimeter out one day before I noticed the lanyard sitting on the floor. If that switch has corrosion (seeing it doesn't get much if any use) it could kill the ability to start the boat. |
