Thanks to everyone. This is my first boat and I'm happy to find this site. So, I have a 2000 Horizon 200 with a 5.0 gi sx volvo. I ran the boat last year with no problems, then had it winterized. The first time I started my engine in the spring with my garden hose attached, I was able to start my engine and bring it up to temperature before shutting it down with no issues. However, I took my boat to the docks and when I am starting the boat, it will start up right away and then stall. So, I repeated this process a few times with no luck to keep the engine running. So, I tried starting the engine while giving it throttle and I was able to start the engine and keep it running while using the throttle. But when the RPM's came back down the engine would want to stall and sounded like it was gasping for air. I thought maybe there was moisture in the fuel so, I tried a fuel maintenance that took out the moisture. So, any advice would be great. Being my first boat, I'm still trying to learn the ropes. Thanks again!

Change your fuel filter, it may have water in it.

I had a similar problem first time out this year. Turned out that when I replaced the fuel filter, I (acccidentally) removed the plug by the fuel filter that apparently runs the pump. The wire dangled close to the plug, so it wasn't obvious. But, I plugged it back in, and all problems solved. Give it a look-see!
