I need to build a new boat dolly for my 2011 180 SS for storage in my boathouse. Has anyone in the forum built one for a 180? Any suggestions or plans? |

I would look to your trailer, to get the angles and spacing for the bunks. That would be my starting point. What material are you using for it? |

Why not do what the boat yards do? Unless I am missing some thing? Two blocks of wood under the keel with 2 boat stands. Much easyer, and less costly I would think. |

If you have a local boat trailer mfr, they can easily weld up a "cradle" and you would be good to go....or, you could see where your local dealer gets them from...it might be a couple dollars more than building yourself, but it sure would be simple. |

Unfortunately I do not have a trailer builder located in the vicinity. I will use my trailer as the starting point for my plans. If I can I will use galvanized for the material. I did ask the local dealer, but they don't sell the dollies, only the lifts. A lift would be much easier, but I want the boat out of the elements as soon as I done boating. Thanks for the comments and questions! |
