Yep, been there and done that! I've owned over 20 boats, but only two of them have been I/O. I always do full winterization myself, and the difference between an outboard and an inboard is considerable.

I hear ya....i have always winterized myself too...15 years / 3 boats and all have been I/O's...at least this boat has the remote oil filter which saves me a lot of cussing. I enjoy the cleaning, oil change and other maintenance but the standing on the head stuff is not fun.

I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for winterizing even though some of it is a real pain.
