I have been reading alot here and asking some questions. So I decided I should introduce my first 4 Winns. It is a 1989 200 Horizon. These were taken mid rub out, so I apologize for the picture. Hopefully I can get some good ones once It's been in the water. As for the family my wife and I have 3 kids and can't wait to get in the water this year. We are from the Hudsonville area and are always looking for different lakes to try out. Since this picture I have gotten new decals and gave it a good waxing. I am still waiting for some seats to come back from repair and looking for covers.

Post some all round pics when u get time....if that's the model I'm thinking of....its a badass looking ride.....does it have the boxxy looking integrated swim deck? .... if it doesn't have it already ... picture thru hull exhaust out the back....I've seen some round here and really like the lines of that boat.

That's my boat except one year older and red gelcoat instead of blue. It's getting painted in red Imron because the red had been oxidized bad for years and no amount of compounding would bring it back. Good stable hull.

Welcome, love the colors, similar to mine, only I wish I had the 200 vs the 180.

What are you using to bring it back???

Hi Jesse - Welcome to the forum. Not sure if your Four Winns is your first boat or not, but what lakes have you been to already? Unfortunetely, the closest ones to us in Hudsonville are still 20 miles away, with Lake Michigan and Green Lake in Caledonia being the closest for a 20 footer to launch. Gun Lake can be fun, but the ramp is terrible. Not very family friendly at all with little kids. They don't let you keep your boat at the dock while you go park your truck like every other ramp allows.

I usually just go out in the big lake and launch at either Holland, Port Sheldon or Grand Haven.

Anyway, your boat looks great. Where abouts are you in Hudsonville?

Chris

I'm using liquid ice from Norton. It was almost to easy. I went from old and chalky to new and shiny. We bought a 18'er (off brand) last year in August, and the only place we ever went was Dumot lake in Allegan and up to a family members cottage in Luther. I plan on running this one alot more this year. I heard green lake was nice. We're kinda looking for a family freindly lake that we can bring the camper to also.

Dumont Lake is nice and all, but tiny.

For camping and family friendly, Gun Lake is actually pretty hard to beat. The campground has a boat launch right in it that is very useable for your size boat. You can keep your boat right on the channel at the campground also. I grew up on Gun Lake and my dad still has a home on the lake. If you have any questions about it, let me know.

Don't rule out Muskegon as a possible destination. You have a choice of 3 lakes you can boat on depending on the weather. Plus Muskegon State Park is right on the channel.
