Post subject:  Horizon 200 Prop Recommendations?

I'd really like to hear suggestions for a new prop. I dinged up my aluminum prop on the '97 Horizon a few weeks ago. I picked up a spare used one locally to get me through last week, but now I've decided to buy a stainless steel replacement.

We mostly cruise, float and pull tubers on this boat. Its got the Volvo Penta 5.7L V8 GLi SX package with a 14 1/2 x 19 Michigan Wheel aluminum replacement prop and it currently tops out right at the max 4800 rpm recommendation and with plenty of indicated speed.

I don't need more top speed, but certainly can always use a bit more tug for low speed work with tubers and the occasional skier. I rarely damage props, so I think that a SS model will work well - but there are so many choices, its hard to know where to start. I'm hoping that someone has made a similar switch and can provides some real-world feedback.

Help a brother out?

That's the size I have in mind since its running well now. I'm more interested in knowing if I should consider a 4 blade and then narrowing it down to quality makes and models that have a good reputation.

My first inkling is to get the relatively inexpensive Apollo SS model from Michigan Wheel - but I know nothing about it other than what I can read on their website.

'95 5.0 FL currently using 15x17 Al, forget the exact numbers but it did not excede max rpm last year and top speed was in low 40's. Have ordered a 14 1/2 x 19 Al to try this year. The manual specifies a 14 1/2 x 21 but the previous owner must have felt a need for more power so I'm not looking to over prop. I prefer Al due to cost and outdrive protection as we have a lot of tree stumps outside of the channels.
